Board President

Fred Maher
Director, Business Development
CMC Energy Services

As Director of Business Development, Fred Maher steers CMC Energy Services’ business growth and strategic marketing activities, creating multichannel campaigns optimizing lead generation and customer acquisition while working closely with the CMC Board and marketing partners. Prior to joining CMC, Fred served as Internal Communications Manager at Exelon Generation and held leadership roles in communications departments at PECO—where he created and managed all facets of a $5 million project to give homeowners energy reports—and the Klein College of Media and Communication. He has a B.A. in Journalism from Temple University and an M.A. in Mass Media and Communications from Temple University.

Fred serves on the Board of Visitors for Temple University’s Klein College of Communication and is Co-Chair of the DEI Council for the Association of Energy Service Professionals.

Kevin Warren
Principal
Warren Energy

Kevin Warren was an original member of the KEEA Board and served for roughly 10 years. Like several other Board members, he has been involved with PA ACT129 since its development and lobbied for its passage prior to KEEA’s official founding. His energy efficiency experience has focused on large multifamily, industrial, and commercial facilities.

Kevin Warren founded and is the principal of Warren Energy. Prior to starting the company, he was co-founder and principal of kW Engineering in Oakland, California. Kevin is a nationally recognized expert on measurement and verification (M&V) and impact evaluation. He is an active member of the Efficiency Valuation Organization’s (EVO) International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) committee where he is the chair of the IPMVP EM&V subcommittee. Kevin has represented EVO in energy efficiency protocol efforts with NAESB, the World Bank, and ANSI. He is a registered professional engineer in five states and has a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, received in 1993 from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, Solar Energy Laboratory.

Kevin serves on the Pennsylvania Climate Change Advisory Committee, Chester County Energy and Environmental Advisory Board, the Oxford Regional Planning Commission’s Environmental Advisory Council, and the Elk Township Open Space Committee. He is also the President of the Elk Creeks Watershed Association.

Peter Krajsa
Co-Chair & Managing Member
National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF)

Peter Krajsa was a founding board member of KEEA and a Co-Chair and Founder of the National Energy Improvement Fund (NEIF) the nation’s only Certified Benefit Corporation, US Department of Energy Home Improvement Expert lender partner. Pennsylvania-based, NEIF provides energy efficiency and resilience financing programs for home and businesses nationally through partnerships with governments, utilities, manufacturers and contractors. NEIF currently has over 2,000 partners focused on increasing the affordability of energy and resilience improvements. NEIF currently administers financing programs for the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority (PEDA) and for several of New Jersey’s utilities.

Peter is a recognized innovator in energy efficiency finance for over two decades. He spear-headed the creation of a number of major national energy finance programs as CEO of AFC First Financial Corporation, a specialty residential energy efficiency lender, operating programs nationally with a network of over 6,000 participating contractors. Peter led the development of the company’s national EnergyLoan® program as one of Fannie Mae’s approved lenders; created the Keystone Home Energy Loan Program in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Treasury Department, DEP and PHFA, which laid the foundation for WHEEL, (Warehouse for Energy Efficiency Loans), the world’s first investment grade rated securitization of a portfolio of unsecured energy loans. Under his leadership, AFC First closed over $500 million in energy efficiency loans, was named by the U.S. DOE as the nation’s first private Home Performance with ENERGY STAR sponsor, selected as one of five national pilot lenders for the HUD PowerSaver program, received the Alliance to Save Energy Andromeda Award and established the Green Energy Training Academy supported by the Rockefeller Foundation. Prior to founding NEIF, he headed national channel business development for the innovative energy lender, Renew Financial, which acquired AFC First in 2015, as part of its national expansion plans.

Joe Nunley
Partner
Green Energy Economics Group

Joe Nunley is a Managing Consultant for Green Energy Economics Group (GEEG). In this role, he is responsible for designing new energy efficiency portfolios, analyzing existing energy efficiency programs and portfolios, performing management consulting for home performance contractors, and continuous improvement process of existing program designs. Prior to joining GEEG, Joe served as the Vice President of Program Services at PSD. In this role Joe led the PSD Program Services Division, which implements Residential, Commercial, and Energy Code Programs throughout the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest. Joe has been in the EE field for 15 years. Prior to joining PSD, he was an Energy Efficiency and Conservation Senior Analyst with UGI Utilities, where he was responsible for managing the commercial and residential natural gas Energy Efficiency and Conservation Programs. Joe was also responsible for emerging technologies, customer satisfaction, and trade ally relations. Joe previously worked as an Energy Efficiency Trade Ally Manager with Puget Sound Energy in Seattle, WA. Prior to that position, Joe spent eight years as the owner of a Harrisburg, PA energy auditing firm, focusing on Utility Low-Income Weatherization Programs, and residential and small commercial energy audits. Rooted in a deep love for building science, Joe is an Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) Certified Energy Manager (CEM) as well as a Building Performance Institute (BPI) Certified Building Analyst.

Ben Adams
Vice President – Program & Strategic Development
MaGrann Associates

Ben is responsible for the identification and development of new services at MaGrann Associates, and supports program design for state and utility sponsored energy efficiency initiatives.

With 30 years in residential single and multi-family deployment, his experience ranges from low income retrofit to new construction and green building certification programs. Most recently, he has been focusing on integration of Internet of Things technologies into smart homes and buildings.

Ben sat on the RESNET Board of Directors from 2002 through 2016, was a Board Director of Affordable Comfort (now Building Performance Association) for 14 years, and was a founding Board member of both the Keystone Energy Efficiency Alliance (KEEA) and the Northeast HERS Alliance. He is a frequent advocate for residential energy efficiency issues, particularly related to whole-building approaches.

Ben began his career in energy efficiency at the New Zealand Ministry of Energy in 1982. He has an MBA from Drexel University and a B.S. from the University of Canterbury. He is a past president of his local food co-op, and in his spare time he is an avid road cyclist.

Taylor Adler
Program Manager II
Franklin Energy

Taylor Adler grew up in Leonia, New Jersey and pursued higher education at Drexel University, where she graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree, concentrating in Business Marketing and Legal Studies. After graduation, she began her career at Franklin Energy Services, where she has spent the past 11 years. She started as a Project Coordinator, eager to learn the ins and outs of the energy efficiency industry. Over the years, she worked her way up to Program Manager II. Her role has allowed her to manage a variety of energy efficiency programs, from residential home audits and rebate processing to multifamily direct install projects and commercial rebates. Each program presented unique challenges, which allowed her to learn how to address the common pain points of program implementations.

Tejas Desai
President & CEO
Tri-State Light & Energy Inc.

As President and CEO of Tri-State Light & Energy Inc. (TSLE), Tejas Desai currently leads the company’s growth in engineering, program implementation, program design, design-build, engineered solutions, energy management, and other utility programs.

Mr. Desai joined TSLE in 2021 and, at the same time, joined the KEEA/ NJEEA board which coincided with Triennium-1 program for all seven utilities in New Jersey. TSLE has won several awards with PSE&G, First Energy and PECO programs, has experienced rapid growth and has been engaged in many policy initiatives for decarbonization.

Prior to joining TSLE, Mr. Desai led Willdan’s Northeast and East Operations for Engineering Work and EE Programs, where he helped Willdan launched NJ Operation and grow it to be a $25M operation in four years. Earlier in his career, he worked at WSP (previously known as Parsons Brinckerhoff, Inc (PB Power, Inc.)) as a Lead Engineer and Assistant Project Manager.

Mr. Desai serves on the Board of Directors of the Society of Indo-American Engineers and Architects (SIAEA) and the New Jersey Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of India and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL.

Under the helmsmanship of Tejas Desai, PE, TSLE grown into a full-scale engineering firm providing an array of services including Energy Efficiency, Engineered Solutions, Decarbonization, Energy Savings Improvement Programs (ESIP) and Direct Install.  TSLE is consistently recognized and awarded for energy efficiency program/projects that marries innovative technology strategy for growth.  As TSLE grows, it continues its commitment to hiring locally, and focusing on training, and opportunity advancement. We believe in bring local expert and grow team within the community and seeing excellent progress. Andrew Dieck
Director of Sustainable Energy Solutions

Andrew Dieck is the Director of Sustainable Energy Solutions at JPI, where he leads implementation and strategy of JPI’s energy efficiency initiatives. Previously, Andrew was the Director of Program Strategy at Performance Systems Development (PSD), where he oversaw the delivery and launch of a broad range of energy efficiency programs and provided critical contributions to product development, strategy, and EM&V efforts. He has also spent time at PECO as a Senior Program Manager, leading residential energy efficiency programs and TRM development. Andrew holds an MBA and an MFA from Temple University, and a BA from Bard College. He lives in Philadelphia with his cat Lola.

Andy Frank

Andy is an energy efficiency industry expert, with experience building companies that make money through positive environmental impacts. Prior to starting Sealed, Andy was a co-founder of Efficiency 2.0, acquired by C3 AI (NYSE: AI), an energy efficiency software company that helped utilities save energy through customer engagement software. Currently, Andy also serves on the board of the Alliance for Clean Energy New York.

Matheus Lima
Vice President, Energy & Utility Programs
Vanguard Building Solutions

Matheus “Matt” Lima is an energy efficiency enthusiast with a decade of experience advancing clean energy and infrastructure programs across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. As Vice President of Energy & Utility Programs at Vanguard Building Solutions, he leads a multidisciplinary team overseeing a multimillion-dollar annual portfolio and has implemented more than 250 energy efficiency projects nationwide.

His leadership has directly supported small business decarbonization efforts, including HVAC and indoor air quality upgrades that improved comfort and performance for more than 70 women- and minority-owned businesses in New Jersey. Matt has championed energy efficiency strategies that lowered energy consumption and eliminated more than 14,000 tons of carbon emissions through data-driven program execution.

A Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and LEED Accredited Professional, Matt is recognized for fostering collaboration among utilities, contractors, and policy organizations. He is passionate about scaling equitable commercial and industrial energy programs and creating innovative pathways that connect technology and finance to develop people-driven solutions and build a more resilient energy future.

Janja Lupse
Director, Residential
ICF

As a Director, Residential, Janja supports ICF’s recent growth in the northeast region, supporting the expansion of PSE&G Energy Efficiency Portfolio in their Newark, NJ office. She leads the development and management of multiple energy efficiency programs and builds relationships with their utility client/partners as she works to design and implement program strategies. She manages and mentors other ICF energy efficiency professionals, bringing expertise, best practices, and resources from across the industry, to promote their development and support their success. She is responsible for day-to-day operations, tracking overall program metrics and managing budgets, managing subcontractors and client expectations, mentoring and developing employees, and providing oversight of various functional areas supporting program delivery.

She has a B.S. from Sierra Nevada College and an M.A. from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. She lives with her husband and two adult sons in Edison, NJ.

Kyle Mann
President
LED Living

A native of suburban Philadelphia, Kyle Mann serves as President of LED Living Technology, a patent-holding LED lighting manufacturer based in Hatboro, Pennsylvania. Since joining the firm, Kyle has been instrumental in driving numerous successful energy efficiency projects with significant impact in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

 

He has led numerous energy retrofit projects resulting in more than 10,000,000 kWh in energy savings. Under Kyle’s stewardship, LED Living produces fixtures and retrofits with industry-leading efficiency and a mix of Buy American Act compliant LED products, produced in Pennsylvania, along with Trade American Act compliant products all geared to maximizing energy savings on LED lighting upgrade projects.

 

Before joining the energy efficiency community, Kyle worked in sports management, spending eight years in professional baseball with The Washington Nationals. During that time, Kyle honed his skills in fundraising, philanthropy, marketing and communications while serving in several roles in community relations, public relations and digital marketing. While in Washington, D.C. he was instrumental in the launch of the Nationals Youth Baseball Academy and the development and initial strategy for team’s social media channels.

 

Kyle holds Bachelor’s Degrees in both Marketing and Management from the University of Miami and a Master of Business Administration at from The George Washington University.

Regina Montalbano

Regina Montalbano is a seasoned energy professional with more than 15 years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing demand-side management and distributed energy programs. As Vice President of Utility Solutions at MD Energy Advisors, Regina leads the delivery of large-scale residential and commercial portfolios throughout the PJM region, including weatherization, small business, and distributed energy resource initiatives that drive measurable carbon reduction, customer engagement, and grid benefits.

Her leadership has helped utilities, state agencies, and implementation partners translate policy goals into practical, high-impact programs that advance energy efficiency and electrification. Regina’s career spans roles in program design, engineering, and strategic delivery—bridging the gap between data, technology, and people to accelerate the clean energy transition. A licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Energy Manager, she is recognized for her collaborative approach, technical depth, and commitment to building equitable, results-driven solutions that serve both customers and communities.

Steve Moritz

Steve Moritz is the Founder & CEO of Encentiv Energy Inc., a technology company that provides comprehensive access to energy-efficient product information and incentives, ensuring customers and contractors maximize the benefits of rebate programs. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Encentiv has helped thousands of customers leverage utility rebate programs, regional energy efficiency capacity incentives and other state and local financing programs to maximize the value of their energy efficiency efforts.  

Steve brings over 30 years of experience in the energy industry working for multiple industry start-ups. Steve has spent his career building and managing successful businesses that thrive in the ever-changing world of state and federal energy regulation. His passion is to create opportunities for energy savings, carbon reduction and revenue generation by influencing and leveraging the energy regulatory process.

Steve has a JD degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a BS in Business from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and is a licensed attorney in the State of Pennsylvania. Steve is also a graduate of the Wexner Heritage Program, a national leadership development program that trains non-profit volunteers on how to provide transformative leadership for community-based organizations and is also part of the Wexner Summit on Climate Change.

Renwick Paige

Renwick “Renny” Paige founded Energy Infrastructure Partners (“EIP”) in 2011. EIP specializes in energy and energy efficiency projects and is headquartered in New York City. It is uniquely positioned in the market as one of the only Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE) with over 20 years of project finance and municipal finance experience.

Renny has broad development and financial structuring experience across the infrastructure and alternative investments markets and has closed over $10 billion of financial transactions. Mr. Paige has substantial experience with the municipal and governmental sector client base and substantial operational expertise informed by his roles as Chief Marketing Officer for both an AmLaw 100 law firm and a national utility privatization firm. He has over 30 years of experience in infrastructure finance, public finance and private equity. Mr. Paige is also an executive board member of New York City Energy Efficiency Corporation (NYCEEC), a public private partnership that finances energy efficiency in New York City buildings.

Jared Shari

Jared Shari is the Director of HVAC Product Management with Daikin North America. Jared has been with ABCO (acquired by Daikin North America in 2021) for over 9 years, and he works diligently with his teams to get all pertinent energy efficiency rebates into the hands of the relevant sales teams, contractors, and end-users. Jared and his teams work to ensure successful operations and sales throughout the company.

Daikin North America serves the Northeast region—including four branch locations across Philadelphia and New Jersey—and beyond. Prior to joining ABCO, Jared was the Director for his family-owned business where he learned all aspects of the HVAC-industry including sales, installation, service, warehouse management, estimating, and general management. Jared attended Southeastern University studying Theatre and Communications.

Carolyn Sloan
Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs & Market Development
Oracle Energy and Water

Carolyn is a Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs & Market Development at Oracle Energy & Water, leading regulatory strategy for the Mid-Atlantic. She works within the Opower line of business, engaging with utilities, regulators, and stakeholders to support behavioral energy efficiency, customer engagement, and demand response programs. In her role she provides regulatory analysis and expertise for Opower’s Go to Market team, and supports utility clients on program filings, Commission inquiries, and EM&V best practices. Prior to her position with Oracle, Carolyn worked on federal clean air and climate issues for the Business Council of Sustainable Energy and was a policy fellow with the US Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. A graduate of the College of William and Mary with a BA in Public Policy and Environmental Policy, she also holds a JD from the University of Richmond School of Law. Carolyn lives in Washington, DC, and is an avid Caps fan.

Laurie Wiegand-Jackson

Laurie Wiegand-Jackson is a successful entrepreneur with over thirty years of experience in the energy industry. She is the President and founder of Utility Advantage. Laurie brings a broad range of national experience in wholesale and retail energy markets, utility rates and regulation, demand side management, CHP and renewable energy project development. She regularly speaks at industry and private and public sector programs on the importance of sound energy policy, energy management strategies and the benefits of energy programs. She has been recognized for her contributions to the energy industry, where she served as the President of the International Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) in 2007. Laurie received the prestigious Distinguished Service Award from AEE and she was also honored in 2008 by the Executive Women of New Jersey as a leading Policy Maker. Laurie was inducted into the AEE Energy Manager Hall of Fame in 2016.

Laurie is very active in promoting the professional advancement of women in the energy industry. She is the founder of the Council for Women in Energy and Environmental Leadership (CWEEL) and served as the CWEEL Board of Directors for fifteen years.
