Location: Your home base is in Western Pennsylvania (required). Regular in-state PA travel required, including some overnight travel (approximately 20%). Work from your home office otherwise.

Together, the EEA family of organizations engages businesses in the EE industry to champion the economic growth and jobs impact of EE, its climate impact, and opportunities for EE to play a key role in advancing a clean energy economy.
Position Summary:
The Southwest PA Municipal & Business Outreach Manager builds business relationships, organizes events, and supports geographically-focused grant-funded projects in Western PA, ranging from workforce development projects to educating public officials. The Manager role involves both publicly representing the organization in Western PA and being responsible for “back-office” coordination. Specific assignments will vary depending upon organizational priorities.
General Responsibilities:
Research and Cultivate Regional Relationships – The Outreach Manager builds relationships across the region with municipal governments and with businesses in the energy efficiency and EE-adjacent industries, along with other partners and collaborators of KEEA & EEA. This involves representing the organizations at various regional events, researching and compiling information about the municipalities and businesses, creating and executing an outreach strategy, scheduling and conducting meetings, and establishing and maintaining supporting tools or systems. The Manager will organize and conduct events to build relationships and/or engage businesses, such as facility tours, happy hours, small seminars, or webinars.
Serve as Special Project Lead or Support – The Outreach Manager plays a critical role in supporting grant-funded projects in Western PA and overall organizational policy priorities. Currently, these involve outreach and providing technical support to public officials and municipal governments in securing federal funding. In addition, the SWPA Business & Outreach Manager helps to advance Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) at the county government level, and drives a variety of Workforce Development projects, along with outreach to Southwest and Northwest PA economic development officials.
This position takes lead responsibility for running the PA Contractor Network and for convening the Municipal Outreach coordination calls and efforts.
Shape EE Success Stories – Work closely with the Communications Manager, supporting efforts to highlight EE success stories and to engage business voices in support of EE, including activities such as: monitoring SWPA media for EE businesses’ successes to showcase and recruiting story subjects throughout your interactions.

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience, ranging from $55-$70K annually. ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR – PART TIME POSITION
Location: You are based in either Pennsylvania or New Jersey (required). Quarterly travel is typically required for several days but you’ll generally work from your home office otherwise.

Job Duties:
The Administrative Coordinator handles invoice processing and coordinating with the staff and the bookkeeper, working with various benefits and insurance vendors, coordinating Board of Directors committees, performing administrative tasks, and provides general support to the Executive Director on occasion:
Reviews and codes invoices for bookkeeper, ensures completion of monthly staff expense reports and credit card reconciliation and other month-end processing. Supports budgeting process, refreshing prior year’s template and running relevant reports. Responsible for gathering necessarily documents for financial auditors. Works with bookkeeper to ensure completion of monthly financials and board reports.
This position directly supports the Finance Committees of KEEA/EEA-NJ and EEA boards – drafting notes and committee’s Board reports and scheduling meetings.
Coordinates and disseminates packets of board meeting materials every other month. Develops and maintains schedules of the EEA and KEEA/EEA-NJ Board meetings and Board committee meetings, and provides logistics support for any in-person meetings (meals, booking facility, etc.) Maintains relevant board materials and records in organization portal, such as contact lists, meeting notes, “conflict of interest forms,” etc.
This position organizes staff birthday and other recognition opportunities, and provides logistics support for in-person gatherings and outings.
This team member coordinates annual evaluation and review of health benefits and other insurances, overseeing the annual open enrollment requirements. Provides Executive Director with support and some coordination related to PTO policies an tracking, and various other benefits such as short-term disability insurance and 401k vendor.
This position becomes comfortable using the organization’s CRM database and coordinates a periodic review of organization-wide contact database in concern with team members responsible for various functional areas.
Other administrative tasks or duties may occasionally be assigned to support specific organizational needs.
