Heidi currently serves as the Director of US Green Building Council (USGBC) Central Pennsylvania, where she is responsible for local engagement, as well as major initiatives and programs. Not only does Heidi identify opportunities for expansion, but also supports existing partnerships and serves as the public face of the organization.
Prior to USGBC, Heidi worked for the PA Department of Environmental Protection for 11 years in the storage tanks program (five years) and state energy office (six years). While working for the State Energy Office, Heidi managed several energy efficient building trainings (Building Operator Certification & Building Retuning) for facility managers of K-12 schools & local governments. She also helped lead the development of a 600 square-foot green home exhibit that toured the state for several years. Heidi has a BS in Environmental Science from Muhlenberg College and a Masters in Environmental Pollution Control from Penn State University. She is a LEED Accredited Professional and an Environmental Leadership Program (ELP) Senior Fellow.
Heidi’s volunteer experience and leadership positions have included: inaugural member of Phoenixville Green Team, Secretary of DVGBC Green Schools Workgroup (3 years), USGBC Central PA Board of Directors (1 year), leading the Adopt-A-Highway cleanup route for her church (7 years), Chair of the PA Green & Healthy Schools Partnership (PAGHSP) School Engagement Task Force (2 years), PAGHSP Advisory Council (2 years), and DVGBC Educational Programs Committee volunteer (4 years).
