  • As part of the structured/project finance team at the Connecticut Green Bank, Chris Magalhaes structures, underwrites and places proprietary investments and third party capital into clean energy projects and portfolios within Connecticut. The Connecticut Green Bank’s areas of investment and expertise include residential, commercial & industrial, state & municipal and utility-scale clean energy projects.
  • Prior to the Connecticut Green Bank, Chris graduated from the Yale School of Management with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies with a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) in 2014, where he pursued his passion for finance and energy at the Center for Business & the Environment at Yale (CBEY). As a 2013 Investment Banking Summer Associate in the Energy Coverage Group at J.P. Morgan, Chris worked on live M&A and debt/equity offerings across energy spectrum, and as a 2012 Summer Consultant with Hadapt, Inc., he developed innovative Go-To-Market strategies for a Big Data analytics start-up. Most recently, Chris was the head of financial modeling for RLR Consultants, LLC, a boutique Tax Equity advisory firm.
  • Prior to Yale, Chris spent 5 years with S&P Capital IQ, a finance data & analytics software platform servicing financial institutions, investors, and advisors. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a bachelor’s degree in History from New York University.
