Austin Whitman leads regulatory affairs for FirstFuel, a provider of customer energy intelligence software to utilities, energy retailers, and government agencies. He works with FirstFuel clients and the regulatory community to promote the adoption of analytics for achieving cost-effective energy efficiency and higher customer satisfaction. Austin has 16 years of experience working in technology, energy, strategy, policy, and finance. He previously was a consultant to utilities and energy companies on energy efficiency and renewable energy finance, business planning, and environmental markets. Earlier, he worked for Climate Change Capital, a clean energy and carbon investment firm, and for Cambridge Associates, where he advised institutional clients on investments in real assets. He also led strategy, marketing, and business development for a startup enterprise software company. A Pennsylvania native, Austin has an MBA and a Master of Environmental Management from Yale, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Dartmouth College.
