*UPDATED 8/4/21 to reflect indoor masking requirements*
Penn State currently requires indoor mask usage for all visitors, regardless of vaccination status.
Stay up-to-date on COVID guidance at the Philadelphia Navy Yard:

“Forging the Future” is taking place at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. KEEA and EEA-NJ will adhere to COVID protocols set by Penn State (who manage the indoor conference venue), the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation (PIDC) (who manage outdoor areas at the Navy Yard), and management for any other venue hosting any conference element.
We strongly encourage all in-person guests to become fully vaccinated before attending the conference. If complete vaccination is not possible, please consider attending the virtual conference instead.
Conference speakers are invited to participate in-person, but may later opt to participate virtually at their discretion.
Penn State, PIDC, the city of Philadelphia, and other guidance providers may update their guidelines as the COVID situation changes. In the event that KEEA/EEA-NJ must reduce in-person attendance because Penn State lowers their maximum room occupancy levels even for fully vaccinated visitors, in-person attendees will be allowed to exchange their in-person tickets for lower-cost virtual tickets.
Please note that attendees will not be permitted on Penn State property if they meet any of the following conditions:
- They have recently been diagnosed with COVID-19 or any variant thereof
- They have been in close contact with someone recently diagnosed with COVID-19 or any variant thereof
- They are awaiting the results of a COVID-19/variant test
- They are experiencing symptoms generally associated with COVID-19 or any variant
Before purchasing an in-person ticket, please read Penn State’s 3-23-22 acknowledgment of risk form.
